A couple nights ago I came home very grateful for my friends and family. This is because I went to a party with some coworkers that was the most boring piece of something that I've ever been to. I was lucky I went there after work with the preface of "I can only swing by for about an hour." When I got there, I found that the birthday girl was drunk, high, and hilarious. Everyone else in the party was watching her, laughing at the stuff she would do/say. I quickly realized that this was the extent of the party.
I don't care if you want to get blazed. I don't care if you want to get wasted. What I want though, is a party where we're actually doing something. Call me immature or lame, but I want games, movies, projects, or at the VERY least, MUSIC! They weren't even playing MUSIC!
I understand and appreciate the old adage: "If you're bored then you're boring." but I didn't want to stay there long enough to get something started. Overall, it just left me thinking "huh?".

Cute Stuff
There was a time where I was very much obsessed with cute/creepy stuff. This was an attempt to go hyper-cute and hyper-creepy. I ended up doing a more detailed version of the kid with the baseball cap later on with microns (love those microns). I've been reliving some darker sketches lately. Sadness from Community being canceled must have something to do with that. The candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long I guess. I think I heard that from Futurama.

Platypus Speech
At first glance, these look like the ravings of a mad man. Upon further inspection, it seems to be bullet-point facts about the humble platypus. Looking deeper, you realize that your first impression was more accurate. I mean, what the hell is this? Well, these are actual notes I took for a public speaking class in college for an informative speech assignment. ACTUAL. NOTES. I remember this speech well. It was one of the few assignments I was actually excited to give because I could inform people about anything I wanted. I do not however remember these notes. I would think there was some crazy stuff I was going through back then if it wasn't for the fact that I'm pretty sure I still take notes this way.

Cupcake Pirates!
Because, why not? Well, actually it's because at one point my sister-in-law was interested in getting a tattoo of a "Cupcake Pirate". I think I came up with some good potentials here, all while trying not to make a repeat of Chris, the Ninja pirate. I think one of my sketches was getting too close to that, which made me want to sketch exactly how it looks in the corner lightly with a small "Don't" next to it. I wonder if she still wants to get inked...

Baddies
Let me get one thing straight. I want to live to be a very very old person. UNLESS I have to be strapped to a machine for the final long years of my life. UNLESS that machine just happens to be an awesome robot arm. That's my choice. Animals however, do not have that choice. We do not yet have a way of knowing if they would prefer it, or if they would be shamed by it. That's why in this game concept I have, the bad guys combine junk, robotics, and animals to be henchmen and minions. If nothing else, that alone makes them bad guys!
